Gina Seghi

Biography

Gina was born in Detroit Michigan to racecar driving parents. Her father's career relocated the family of five to sunny Southern California when she was only two. Moving to Northern California for college, Gina studied acting at San Francisco State University and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, as well as becoming an invited member of the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Gina has acted in a number of stage productions in both New York and San Francisco. During her three years in New York, she was co-founder of Quest Theatre Ensemble, a not-for-profit company bringing classical theatre to inner city youth in Brooklyn and the Bronx. While in New York she continued her love of swing dancing, becoming and East Coast/Lindy Hop instructor. Since her return to the Bay Area, she has worked with No Nude Men Productions, Eastenders Repertory, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and California Shakespeare Theatre.

She recently lent her talent to the big screen, appearing in her first film. Weekend King is a charming, full-length independent feature. She saw its World Premier in May 2008 at the New Victoria Theatre in San Francisco to rave reviews.
